Great Nepal Treks & Expedition is delighted to share about Visit Nepal 2020 announced by the Tourism Board of Nepal. Visit Nepal 2020 is going to be an experience of a lifetime as Visit Nepal Year 1998 and Nepal Tourism Year 2011 were huge successes.

Initially, Visit Nepal 2020 was announced back in 2015 and was supposed to be held in 2018. However, the devastating earthquake of 2015 left the country shattered with 9,000 deaths and numerous homeless. Additionally, the mainstream media announced Nepal’s condition dramatically which resulted in the campaign being postponed.

Despite being an event of 2020, Nepal saw a significant increase in the flow of tourists in the country within a year. In 2017 alone, 940,218 tourists entered Nepal, not only to take part in recreational activities but also to support the people through the hardships.

In 2018, making an announcement, that Nepal is now a safe place to travel, with only 12 out of 75 districts being affected by the calamity, Visit Nepal 2020 was renounced by the Tourism Board of Nepal.

Why Nepal?

Nepal is blessed with the lowlands, Terai in the South, with the rocky hills in the middle, and the snow capped Himalayas in the North.

Nepal is named The Best Valued Destination in the World and is ranked fifth in the list of Top 10 Countries to Visit.
