Our Affiliations

Great Nepal Treks & Expedition actively participated and contributes in the travel and tourism sector of Nepal and is affiliated to numerous organizations both governmental and non-governmental based nationally and internationally. The close relationship and memberships with these organizations help us work in the best and right way every time. It also helps us offer our customers with the best services in Nepal. These affiliations are also the reason why GNTE is now one of the best travel and trekking agencies in Nepal and standing out from the crowd of other agencies spread wildly in Nepal.
Below we have listed some of the organizations we are closely associated with.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB)

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is a self-governing body established in 1998 as a public-private partnership between Nepal's government and Nepal's private tourism industry. As of now, NTB has become a very successful example of public-private partnership, fulfilling all its judicial duties as the National Tourism Organization. GNTE, on the other hand, works very closely with NTB to help reach its goal of promoting Nepal as an ideal tourism destination worldwide with a brand name.

Trekking Agencies' Associaton of Nepal (TAAN)

Established in 1979 TAAN serves as an umbrella association for trekking agencies in Nepal and aims to regulate the trekking and adventure industry properly. At TAAN, the members work together to assist the government through suggestions of turning trekking business into an industry generating good revenue.
The affiliation between TAAN and Great Nepal Treks & Expedition is very strong and dates a while back. Our Chairman Surya Bahadur Ghimire is not only the executive member of TAAN but also served as Media and Publications Coordinator in year 2015/16. The devotion he provided TAAN makes GNTE's tie with the association very strong.

Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation (MoTCA)

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation is a government body which actively promotes tourism in Nepal. The ministry also works to encourage the private sectors in tourism to participate actively. On the other hand, MoTCA's motto is not only limited to promoting tourism in Nepal but also prioritizes the conservation of nature, culture and human resources in Nepal.

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA)

Nepal Mountaineering Association, working as National Alpine Association of Nepal is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization which works to promote climbing sports, and mountain tourism in Nepal. Likewise, the organization also carries a motto to protect mountain environment from being polluted and disturbed in a negative way.

Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA)

Himalayan Rescue Association is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 1973. The organization was founded to reduce the casualties in Nepal's Himalayas as the number of people trekking into the wilderness of Nepal is increasing every day. From setting up a small aid post in the Khumbu region of Nepal at an altitude of 14,343 ft to opening temporary aid posts in different parts of Nepal, HRA aims to provide rescue and health services to trekkers and travelers in the wilderness of Nepal.

Inclusive Women Development Forum Nepal (IWDFN)

Inclusive Women Development Forum Nepal (IWDFN) is a non-profit organization which moves ahead with the motto of working with conflicted children, women and the needy in Nepal. On the other hand, IWDFN also works with the slogan, Tourism for Cause. Our affiliation with IWDFN comes from our advisor Reeta Rai who serves as the Chairperson for the organization.
