Visit Nepal Decade 2020-30

Great Nepal Treks & Expedition is delighted to share about Visit Nepal Decade 2020/30 announced by the Tourism Board of Nepal. Visit Nepal Decade 2020/30 is going to be an experience of a lifetime as Visit Nepal Year 1998 and Nepal Tourism Year 2011 were huge successes.

Initially, Visit Nepal 2020 was announced back in 2015 and was supposed to be held in 2018. However, the devastating earthquake of 2015 left the country shattered with 9,000 deaths and numerous homeless. Additionally, the mainstream media announced Nepal’s condition dramatically, which resulted in the campaign being postponed.

Despite being an event of 2020, Nepal saw a significant increase in the flow of tourists in the country within a year. In 2017 alone, 940,218 tourists entered Nepal, not only to take part in recreational activities but also to support the people through the hardships.

In 2018, making an announcement, that Nepal is now a safe place to travel, with only 12 out of 77 districts being affected by the calamity, Visit Nepal 2020 was renounced by the Tourism Board of Nepal. This event was halted due to the impact of pandemic Covid19 affect globally. As a result the government of Nepal has announced to postpone this event and celebrate grandly among the world as Visit Nepal Decade 2020/30.
