Everest Heli Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to Gokarna Forest Resort

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Great Nepal Representative will pick you up from the airport. You will then be transferred to Hotel nearby Thamel as per your request or similar category hotel. The tour leader attends a formal briefing about your package. You can either visit Great Nepal’s office or take rest at our hotel room. Over-night at Hotel.

Day 2:Fly to Lukla (2800m), Trek to Phakding (2656m)/Overnight stay at Yeti Mountain Home

Today morning, you will board a flight to the Lukla Airport commonly known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. After wonderful 30-45 minutes on one of the most scenic mountain flights, you will be at Lukla and you can explore the valley. After having breakfast, you begin the trek which takes around to Phakding village and spend the night there.

Day 3: Trek to Namche (3450m): 11 km, 5-6 hours

In this Day, the trail will takes you along the Dudh-Koshi River while ascending through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to your destination, Namche Bazaar, a historic trading point for Nepalese and Tibetan traders and the tourist “hub” for Khumbu trekking where you find ATMs, internet café, shops and colorful market. Along the way, you will get your first glimpse of Mt Everest as well as other mountain peaks such as KusumKangru (6369m) and Mt Thamserku (6608m). You will see paintings of Buddhist deities at Benkar and a small gompa at Monjo as well as explore the granite bluff carved with Tibetan Mantra’s en-route to Jorsale, Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche.

Day 4:Trek to Syangboche (3720m) –Heli Tour to Kala Patthar (5242m) & Kongde (4200m) – Return Kathmandu

Today is going to be a busy day. After early breakfast, you will ascend to the path of Syangboche. This is a small Sherpa village that is located above Namche Bazaar. Along with being home to world’s highest Syangboche airport, this village is also famous for being the world’s highest skydiving zone Everest skydives. Enjoy the mountain views from Syangboche and take chartered flight to Kala Patthar. Get delighted with views of Gokyo Lakes and enjoy the closest view of Mount Everest and other peaks. There will be plenty of opportunity for photo shooting. From Kalapatthar we take a return flight to Kathmandu.

Day 5:Sightseeing tour around Kathmandu

Kathmandu valley envelops three glorious cities encounter with historical, cultural and religious prospect: Kathmandu (kantipur), lalitpur (Patan) and Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon) covering the area of 220 square mile (570 Km2). Kathmandu valley designated with seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath/Monkey Temple and Changu Narayan Temple

Day 6:International Departure

Your journey with us comes to an end today! A Great Nepal Treks representative will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way to home, you have plenty of time to plan your next adventure to the wonderful country of Nepal.
